A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Prospective Supporter:

The Los Angles dance company CONTRA-TIEMPO is scheduled to return to Midland, Texas on October 5, 2019 and we are so excited. We look forward to community participation, in order to help us bring CONTRA-TIEMPO back to Midland, Texas.

Presenting joyUS justUS is the company's new production. CONTRA TIEMPO is a bold multi-lingual Los Angeles Dance Company founded and directed by Ana Marie Alvarez. The company is rooted in Salsa and Afro-Cuban genres and draws from Hip-Hop urban and contemporary dance-theater.

The venue for the event is the Bowie Fine Arts Auditorium (Bowie Fine Arts Academy). In addition to the main performance, workshops, will also be conducted by the company. In order to make this event affordable to the general public, youth and senior adults, MAARHCAC, Inc. is soliciting your monetary support, in order to underwrite this event.

Most recently, MAARHCAC, Inc. presented the Midway Jazz Festival featuring Tom Braxton and Peter White (2018). Prior dance programs include the Dance Theater of Harlem (2017) and CONTRA TIEMPO (2016), which was their inaugural performance in Texas. Due to community support and philanthropic organizations, all three events were a huge success.

Please consider supporting the second coming of CONTRA TIEMPO with a monetary contribution of the purchase of an advertisement for the program brochure; all contributions are tax deductible; we are a 501 C(3) organization.

Sincerely,

Robbyne
